McBrilliant and the Path to Endgame
This probably won’t transpire, but let me play out what would be the most awesomest of all scenarios. McCain’s platform is leadership experience and country first and he is showing that by heading back to Washington. He left open a trap for the O-meister and he took it apparently insisting on a debate. McCain should agree that the debate goes on.
The last few weeks the media has been clamoring for a shot at Palin and we know that it will not be on even turf. They treat Obama with kid gloves and Palin with a sodomy stick. They say she is not ready to step in if the President is unable to serve. Let’s see about that.
I suggest that McCain say he can’t debate at the last minute and we have a debate between Obama and Palin. Why would this be good?
1. The questions they receive will be the same. None of this, “Sen. O, you have lovely hair,” “Gov. Palin, who was President of Zimbabwe on Aug 3, 1922”
2. It either highights Palin’s experience or Obama’s inexperience
3. It throws Obama off his game. He has been preparing for months for a debate against McCain. At best, he would have a day to debate against Palin.
4. Proves to the world that Palin can take on the role of President.
Might not happen, but it might.
